If you’re travelling soon, and want to take your ADHD medication with you, you’ll need to make preparations beforehand as most ADHD medication contains controlled drugs.
The government advises that those leaving the UK with medicine containing a controlled drug should obtain proof of prescription with either a copy of the prescription itself and/or a travel letter.

We recommend checking with your airline and the government page for your destination for specific guidance on travelling with your medication as we cannot advise on their individual rules and requirements.
How do I request a travel letter?
Our Medication team is available to help you with a request for a travel letter.
Please submit your request via the Dashboard, our Help Centre, or via email or telephone at least seven working days before your departure date to allow our team enough time to prepare and send your letter.
If you have an upcoming Treatment Review Session before your travel date, our team recommends requesting your letter after the appointment in case any changes are made to your prescription.
We don't need any special information in your request - the letter will be based on your current prescription - but we do recommend that you ask for a new letter for each instance of travel to ensure they are in date and valid to travel with.
