This article will help to answer your questions about our wait times, waiting list and what you need to do while you wait.

Wait times
You can check our current waiting times by visiting:
However, please be aware that NHS services in your area are commissioned and funded by your local Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is responsible for deciding how healthcare resources are allocated.
Due to the high demand for autism and ADHD assessments across England, some ICBs are currently working within limited budgets. Under NHS guidance, some ICBs may ask providers to temporarily pause Right to Choose assessments until further funding is available. This may affect your GP’s ability to refer you to our service and your wait time if you are already waiting.
You can also find out more about ICBs which have been affected by visiting the link above.
When will I be added to the waiting list?
After you have been referred to us by your GP and you have signed up on problemshared.net, you will have access to the forms you need to complete on your dashboard.
When does my wait time start?
Your wait time for an assessment begins when we have received all your completed forms and identification documents.
You will receive an email from our assessment team to let you know that you are on the waitlist.
You are welcome to contact our Client Support team if you are not sure if you have completed all your forms:
Email: help@problemshared.net
Phone: 020 3835 2900
Once we have received your completed forms and you are on our wait list, our assessment team will check the content of your forms to ensure that we have everything we need prior to your assessment.
Checking the forms while you're on the waitlist, rather than beforehand, mitigates any possible delay to your wait time as it means any new or further information that is required can be provided while you're waiting.
If our team does need more information, they'll send you an email letting you know what is required.
Your place on the waitlist won't be affected if you need to send in amended forms. However, you may be discharged from our service if we do not hear back from you.
Keep your contact details up to date
To ensure you don't miss anything, keep us updated about any changes to your email address and add us to your 'Safe Sender' list so we don't end up in your junk box.
Is there anything I need to do while I am waiting?
Yes. During your assessment journey with us, we'll need to check in every 12 weeks and ask some questions about your wellbeing. This is called a 12 week risk screening questionnaire.
We'll send you an email to let you know that this is due, and you will need to complete the questionnaire on your dashboard.
Important
Completing these questionnaires on time is very important. If we do not get a response within two weeks, we cannot guarantee that clinical safety is in place and we'll be obliged to close your account and discharge you from our services.
If there is any issue preventing you from completing this on time, please get in touch with our Client Support team to let us know as soon as possible:
Can you tell me where I am on the waiting list?
Unfortunately not. Our wait times are subject to change and do fluctuate due to capacity and demand for assessments, as well as any restrictions which may be put into place by your local ICB where they are funding your assessment.
We offer assessments to clients on our wait list based on the date when their documents were received to ensure the system is fair to all clients.
The Bookings Team will be in touch if they require any further information to book your assessment. Otherwise, they will give you a call as soon as they are able to offer you an assessment.
What if I am really struggling to cope while I wait?
If you’re finding that your symptoms are having a significant impact on your daily life, work, education, relationships or overall wellbeing, we recommend speaking with your GP to discuss ways they may be able to support you.
Please also visit our resources page for information on NHS Talking Therapies and other support you may be able to access while you wait.
