Restricted ICB Funding for Right to Choose Assessments
NHS services in your area are commissioned and funded by your local Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is responsible for deciding how healthcare resources are allocated.
Due to the high demand for autism and ADHD assessments across England, some ICBs are currently working within limited budgets. Under NHS guidance, some ICBs may ask providers to temporarily pause Right to Choose assessments until further funding is available, which may affect your GP’s ability to refer you to our service.
We know that this news may be concerning, and we are working with our partners across every NHS ICB to ensure that Right to Choose remains a stable model for assessment, care, and support.

Where can I find your Right to Choose waiting times?
Our current wait times for new referrals can be found here:
View Our Current Right to Choose Waiting Times →
Please note: These wait times are based on a client being referred to us from an ICB with no restrictions in place. It may be the case that you will be waiting significantly longer than our advertised wait times if your ICB has restricted funding.
How do I find out if my ICB funding has been restricted? Can I still be referred for an assessment if it has?
You can find out if your ICB has been affected by visiting the link below and adding your postcode to search for your local ICB.
Check NHS Funding and ICB Restrictions →
This will tell you if you can still be referred for assessment and whether your ICB has restricted funding for assessments.
If your ICB has restricted funding: If you can still be referred for an assessment, please note that you can be added to the waiting list, but you will not be progressed until further funding is released by your ICB.
If my ICB has restricted funding, when will I receive my assessment?
Unfortunately, we can't provide an estimated wait time where an ICB has restricted funding. This is the case for new referrals and existing clients.
Our advertised wait times are based on a client being referred to us from an ICB with no restrictions in place, so it may be the case that you will be waiting significantly longer than our advertised wait times.
We recommend that you contact your local ICB for guidance.
What should I do if I have already been on your waiting list for longer than the estimated wait time?
Please check if your local ICB has restricted funding for Right to Choose assessments using the link below.

If they have restricted funding, there is nothing further you need to do. This will mean that you will hold your place on our waiting list until further funding is made available.
Unfortunately, we can't give you an estimate of how much longer you will be waiting or where you are on the waiting list.
Please be assured that we will be in touch as soon as we are able to offer you an appointment for your assessment.
